Never got the chance to update during the race, but here's the latest:
We started well, after a long delay for the start due to several cars dieing on the warm up laps. The seemed to be running
well as high as 10th in the early going until midway through the second stint the car started run poorly. We were waiting for a full
course yellow flag so we could check out the issue without losing too much track time, but unfortunately the car died completely
coming out of turn two. We had to wait for another car that died just before us to be towed to the pits, and finally were
able to get it back to the garage and figure out what went wrong. It turned out that the alternator wasn't charging, so we went to
the local auto parts, bought a new one and put it on. After we were off track for nearly an hour and a half, we dropped to around 70th position.
With the car once again running strong, we finished Saturday somewhere around 50th position. A little more troubleshooting on the car also
revealed a faulty cut-off switch which we repaired and then did some additional decorating. Sunday was fairly uneventful for us as we
continued plugging along and moving up the chart. All three of Sunday's drivers had incident free runs and moved us up
to our finishing position of 33rd, only 61 minutes behind the overall winners.
